Discipline Tests (Test #1: Posture and Test #2: Restraint) are efforts to subvert comfort and functionality and instead instruct the body to fit a standard set by the seating itself. These tests use the bracing of the back and restriction of the neck as a form of control over how the body interacts with domestic objects.
